Our Story So Far
Our Journey
Flood Packs started when Andy (our founder) moved to Vancouver. With the city being super walkable, he found himself heading out for the day with just a fanny pack and some water. But there was one problem—none of the bags out there made it easy to stay hydrated without hauling around a bulky water bottle.
Fanny packs were more comfortable than a backpack, but fitting a decent-sized bottle in there? Not happening. It was too tight, heavy, and just kind of annoying to pull the bottle back out. So Andy decided to build something better from the ground up.
After years of sketching, testing, and tweaking, the Flood Pack was born. We launched on Kickstarter in August 2024 and quickly realized we weren’t the only ones who wanted a smarter way to carry water—around 2000 backers helped bring the idea to life.
It took a lot to get here, but the result is a hydration pack that’s sleek, functional, and made to move with you—wherever the day takes you.
Our Mission
To create a nice-looking fanny pack that eliminates the hassle of carrying water, allowing people to spend more time outside doing whatever they love; whether it be walks, hikes, amusement parks, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, biking, music festivals, or any adventure.
We aim to continuously innovate upon the product - adding and improving functionality, developing variants with different form factors, sizes, colors and more to ensure there's a Flood Pack out there for everyone.
Our Cause
We recognize that the privilege of access to clean drinking water isn't shared by everyone, which is why at Flood Packs we are proudly donating 5% of our annual profit to Water.org. The not-for-profit organization helps to make clean water and sanitation accessible and affordable to families in need internationally.
